Remaining in contact

Nearly all companies use different applications to manage specific data relating to the hardware and software deployed. Spider Asset consolidates on a central basis this information which is so important for IT operations.

The XML interfaces integrated in all Spider products ensure regular and automatic synchronization between the Spider data repositories and the tools spread around the company.

Inventory Tools

Products such as Microsoft SMS or Tivoli collect technical information on the computers which can be accessed via an enterprise network. Yet, they do not collect business or organizational data.

Business systems

ERP programs such as SAP track every purchase made in the company including hardware and software. However, they do not store detailed configuration data or operating facts.

Organizational assumptions

Telephone directory systems, for example, store data on employees. Direct access to such data is useful for IT operations but only if it is linked to technical data.

Spider Asset consolidates the things that belong together: business, technical and organizational knowledge.

Facts: XML
XML is an internationally standardized process for exchanging data. Compared with previous methods, XML is far more secure and is supported by many products.

Facts: XML importer
Like the other Spider products, Spider Asset supports XML on both the import and the export side. The automatic import service manages the exchange of data between multiple systems, thus avoiding the need for manual entries.
